As many of you know Sonya and I are now living together. I moved into her place officially this weekend, which marked the end of a 7 year living living situation with King James, which I should say has been one of the best experiences of my life (no homo). As I left the brooklyn pad with all my stuff it was definitely a bittersweet moment, even though I’ve been pretty much at sonya’s for the past 6 months. This makes it official.
Her place is ALOT smaller than the brooklyn estate, but after quite of bit of painting, hanging and replacements, the place looks great and couldn’t feel more like home. I encourage everyone to come over and say hello (in groups of no more than 4, unless there is only one of us home, in that case groups of 5).
At any rate, enjoy the crappy iphone photos of the living/dining/office/kitchen room until you come over and see it for yourself.

Last Night
Our team had a little party yesterday after work. Open bar and ‘organized talking’ as my creative director coined it. It was a good time and I probably had at least 2 too many jack and cokes. The story gets better as I hop in a cab to meet up with sonya, who is at a co-workers going away party.
As I step out of the cab and cross the street to head to Lolita bar, 3 people start screaming at me to get out of the way. Go! Go! they scream. As I’m pretty drunk at this time it takes me a minute to translate the screaming into and actionable item. At the very moment I finally understand what they are saying I hear 3-5 large explosions and/or gunfire. Now I’m totally at a loss for what the hell is going on and think maybe I should have just gone home or stayed at the work party. This all takes place within 10 seconds.
After I round the corner I notice that people are laughing at me (not with). Turns out Tina Fey and Steve Carell are filming thier new movie “Date Night” and I was walking right as they were filming some sort of gunfire scene.
Funny retrospectively. Scary at the moment.

This is Tom Waits. His music is fucking amazing. It’s bizarre, but awesome. I know I’m behind the curve—big time— but gimme a break…I like death metal.
I just got his album Rain Dogs and it’s blowing my mind. You should listen to Tom Waits. And go get a Between the Buried and Me album while you’re at it.
